Mirenco will demonstrate technology to L.A. airports
RADCLIFFE, IA—Mirenco, Inc., (OTCBB: MREO) which specializes in combustion
management technology for reducing vehicle emissions, will participate in a
demonstration project for ground support equipment at Los Angeles International
Airport.
Mirenco will conduct emissions testing on diesel ground support vehicles at Los
Angeles International Airport and John Wayne Airport in the Los Angeles
metropolitan area. The demonstration is expected to begin early in 2003. Mirenco
was invited to participate by the California Air Resources Board, the state’s
influential clean air regulatory agency.
“This demonstration represents a tremendous opportunity for Mirenco to show its
expertise in gathering emissions data and offering solutions to substantially
reduce those emissions,” said Dwayne Fosseen, CEO and Chairman of Mirenco.
“Ground support vehicles in our nation’s airports represent a large, untapped
market for Mirenco’s technology.”
Ground support vehicles include aviation tractors, baggage tractors, ramp
trucks, and other heavy duty diesel vehicles used to support large commercial
airlines. Mirenco’s emissions testing helps maintenance personnel identify
engine-combustion problems, which lead to excessive tailpipe emissions and
wasted fuel. Mirenco offers DriverMax as a solution to cutting emissions and
improving fuel efficiency. DriverMax has been proven to cut emissions by 50
percent.
DriverMax manages the throttle of a vehicle through a small on-board computer to
eliminate waste caused by natural engine deterioration and imprecise driver
throttle control. The tangible results include minimized emissions, maximized
fuel savings, and extended vehicle life, all without loss of power.
