History
Since the fuel crisis of the mid-1970s, Dwayne Fosseen
through Fosseen Manufacturing and Development (FMD) Company developed multiple
energy related technologies. On February 24, 1997, Mirenco, Inc. was formally
organized and was then licensed by FMD to begin the worldwide distribution and
commercialization of these innovative products. Radcliffe, Iowa, a town of 650
people that is located one hour north of Des Moines, is the physical home to
Mirenco.
Mirenco which holds multiple patents for their products has created a team of
highly technical engineers, software developers, and business professionals, all
with one primary objective in mind:
To maximize the extraordinary technological innovations that were derived
from years of FMD research.
Mirenco's products can be generalized to be the result of
the successful blending of 21st century technology with that of the internal
combustion engine, all with the primary focus of helping vehicle operators’
better control throttles. Mirenco’s technologies have three common
characteristics:
- Fuel Savings
- Pollution Reduction
- Reduced Maintenance Costs
During the many years of product development, Mirenco has worked with various
high level educational institutions and with the United States Department of
Energy to bring Dwayne Fosseen's visions to fruition.
Founded and operated from within America’s heartland, Mirenco has always been a
"Mom and Pop" company. As such, Mirenco avoided the traditional methods of
capitalization, opting for smaller, direct-to-investor methods, drawing on the
common trust and optimism of the Midwest's population.
