Mirenco Introduces Vice Presidents - McCann and Baker
RADCLIFFE, IA—August 9, 2002--Mirenco, Inc. (OTCBB: MREO)
has announced the appointment of Steve McCann and Jim Baker as Vice Presidents.
Steve McCann joins Mirenco as Vice President in charge of new business
development. His responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business
opportunities for Mirenco’s expanding environmental emissions program that
includes tailpipe emissions testing, a pro-active maintenance program and the
incorporation of DriverMax, a fuel management system. Mr. McCann will also be
spearheading the fund raising efforts of the publicly funded non-profit Iowa Bus
Emissions Education Program (BEEP).
Prior to joining Mirenco, Mr. McCann worked with businesses and communities in
recruiting and retaining both employees and employers in Iowa. He has over 20
years marketing experience in market research and promotion, product
development, licensing, and sales.
Jim Baker, who also joins Mirenco as Vice President, will also participate in
raising funds for the non-profit BEEP program as well as head up Mirenco’s
communications and promotion efforts. In addition, Mr. Baker will lead in the
expansion of Mirenco’s fleet testing programs on a national level.
Mr. Baker joins Mirenco with 20 years of experience within the communications
field as well as the advertising and marketing arena. Jim has worked in
management positions in the newspaper business and publicly funded health care
organizations.
