Mirenco Announces DriverMax Models for Mining Operations

Radcliffe, IA – During last week’s Mining Diesel Emissions Conference (MDEC) in Toronto Canada, Mirenco, Inc. (OTCBB: MREO) presented their white paper and announced their new Mining Model of their patented DriverMax® technology. The Mining Model (DriverMax Model MM2001) is designed for use in the unique and often-harsh environment found in Mining operations worldwide. With increasing regulations on emissions and air quality standards in mining operations, Mirenco has worked to introduce their technology into the industry. Commenting on the mining industry opportunity, Dwayne Fosseen, Mirenco’s Chairman & CEO stated, "We were pleased to be invited to attend and present at MDEC. The attendees represent many of the brightest and most influential people in the industry in the U.S., Canada and Europe, and we were honored to present and elated with their response to our technology."

The mining industry represents a unique segment of heavy duty diesel equipment operators in that diesel emissions are produced in an enclosed space with little ventilation. The potential health risks of diesel particulate matter (DPM) are a concern for miners working in these environments worldwide.

As pointed out during the MDEC conference, there are three methods of solving the DPM health problem: cut emissions, increase ventilation, and remove miners from the environment. Each of these options entails a multitude of methods with wide ranging benefits and costs. Understanding there is no cure-all, single solution, Mirenco believes DriverMax offers the most economical and cost effective method of cutting DPM emissions available to mining operations today as well as being completely complimentary to the alternative solutions available in the market.

Recognizing the harsh physical environment found in many mines, the DriverMax Mining Model (Model MM2001) is specifically designed for those environments. The DriverMax Mining Model is available for both the DriverMax electronic and mechanical engine packages, and includes ballistic plastic casings, soldered connections, and various component enhancements designed to withstand the potentially varying temperatures, humidity, dust, shock and vibration.
