Mirenco Products Keeping Air Clean in National Park
Mirenco Helps Keep The Air Clean In The Grand Canyon
National Park
Mirenco today released performance data for their recent
and ongoing products installation at Fred Harvey Transportation in the Grand
Canyon National Park.
After working with Fred Harvey Transportation for some time and understanding
their desire (and the general public's desire) to tour the park without
polluting it with black smoke, Mirenco installed their patented
HydroFire™/DriverMax™ technology for evaluation. The results were dramatic and
lead to an ongoing installation and expansion to their fleet in the Grand
Canyon.
Dwayne Fosseen, founder and CEO of Mirenco, commented on the evaluation, "the
black smoke disappeared and they started getting over 15% fuel savings. And over
time their maintenance costs are going to go down at least as dramatically."
Recent initial installations were monitored and the data captured to demonstrate
the reductions in black smoke. The Mirenco system immediately produced a 90%
reduction in particulate emissions (black smoke). (see actual performance data
capture photo at left).
Commenting further, Fosseen added, "Fred Harvey looked at a number of
alternatives including complete alternative fuel systems and new technology
fuels. Those systems were very expensive and when compared to ours didn't have
anywhere near the same payback and benefits."
Mirenco is in the business of turning computer technology into cleaner air and
fuel savings. Fosseen was pleased with the results, commenting that "we know
we're at the beginning of a long road, but when you see what we can do to help
clean up the air in the Grand Canyon, think of what we can do when we're running
on every vehicle in the major cities around the world....everyone who breathes
will benefit, and everyone who pays for fuel will benefit."
