I am pleased to report an increase in activity as the launch of Mirenco
technology through the Caterpillar network continues. Two new major
international mining companies have contacted Mirenco inquiring about our
services within the last four weeks. We completed a MDEP baseline evaluation for
one of the mining companies last week and expect the other to begin baseline
evaluations in October. A new Caterpillar distributor has begun
performing MDEP evaluations and installing C-Max units for the first time with
great success. Whayne Supply continues to work with other Caterpillar
dealers with the intentions to establish several Mirenco Service Providers
before the end of 2009. On several fronts, increased activity will likely make
this month’s revenue the highest so far in 2009.
Both of the two major international mining companies had been experiencing
problems with high levels of DPM “Diesel Particulate Matter” in their
underground mining operations. In their efforts to find a solution to
their problem both companies were referred to Mirenco by other mining companies
we service. Their discussions naturally led to a favorable conversation of
how Mirenco’s MDEP evaluations and C-Max technology had been able to
dramatically improve DPM levels in their mines. Mirenco was contacted by
each mine to discuss what Mirenco had to offer their mining operation.
Since then, Mirenco and Whayne Supply has had several conversations with both
mines and has completed a baseline evaluation and demo C-Max installation at one
underground location of one of these mines. We believe a similar
demonstration will be completed for the other mining operation in October.
Most recently a new Caterpillar dealer has taken up the Mirenco program. A
technician has been through training, equipment has been delivered and MDEP
evaluations and C-Max installations have been completed at several customer
locations. The new distributor has developed the internal personnel and
has been brought up to speed with training and experience without any problems.
Mirenco technology has been introduced to their customers with a good reception.
Several locations have been evaluated and C-Max units have been installed with
impressive results of fuel savings and emission reductions. We are looking
forward to additional dealers making this process become a success for them as
well.
Whayne Supply continues to strengthen the dealer network as more and more
dealers are contacted and begin learning how they can benefit from offering this
service to their customers. Numerous dealers have been contacted in the
areas of Mirenco’s current customers and have been introduced to the Mirenco
program. Initial discussions have begun at several of these locations with
a promising outlook.
