From the Desk of the CEO

We have all heard and have been informed over and over that CHANGE is in store
for us in 2009. The point is that this CHANGE is actually going to occur.
Consequently, I see a fork in the road
that allows one from continuing on the road that has the sign ‘bridge out’ to
the new road that allows us to continue onward and upward. Mirenco offers
technologies that before the CHANGE were not considered to be as important to
vehicle operations due to the lower cost of energy. However, today (January 2009) things
have changed since the economy has taken a down turn. This caused the Fleet
management to reconsider economic decisions that will affect vehicle operations.
Mirenco for years has developed technology that can be defined as technology
which better manages engine combustion over an engine’s life. Mirenco’s technology provides a way
to measure a vehicle’s operation and also provides the tools to manage vehicles
by monitoring them at remote locations. Our technology improves the air quality
and helps to reduce a vehicle’s operation cost.
Fleet managements are facing the fact that there will be less new equipment
purchases to replace existing equipment, thus the existing equipment must
perform longer than it would have in the past. This means that the current
equipment must be maintained at a much higher level than machines have received
in the past. This has caused Mirenco technologies to become much more attractive
to a fleet’s management in this economic down turn.
Fleets are now turning to Mirenco for fuel savings and air quality solutions
because of the state of the economics. Fleets have less cash or are conserving
cash in order to maintain their current operations. This translates into fewer
new healthy clean burning fuel efficient vehicles that will be replacing older
existing vehicles. This trend will continue to have an effect on the
manufacturing of new machines.
Mirenco products and services will rapidly grow during the time economics are
headed the other way. This is because Fleet owners understand it is time to
extend engine life and conserve dollars. The difference of staying in business
and maintain close to normal operations is not dramatic change in operation
economics. It is a matter of managing and reducing cost by a small percentage to
maintain the same profit margin. Mirenco technology offers the tool to make this
cost saving task less of a problem.
I have no question that
this company will be in a better economic position in five years when compared
to companies that are not using our technologies.
