For the past several months, Mirenco and one of our business partners, who
has operations in the United States and China, have been planning to implement
Mirenco’s diesel ‘Clean-Tech’ on China’s city bus fleets. The Mirenco Diesel
Evaluation Procedure (MDEP), along with engine combustion cleanup, was
demonstrated on December 1st through the 8th and obtained outstanding results.
For the demonstration, Mirenco evaluated 30 buses using the MDEP process. From
those candidate vehicles, a representative sample was picked to conduct our
combustion clean-up process which uses the Mirenco MDEP reporting service.
Within minutes, evaluation data was sent to Mirenco headquarters from China and
the MDEP reports with Mirenco’s recommendations were back in China.
A Chinese government representative was present and documented Mirenco’s
demonstration, from the 30 buses evaluated to the diesel engine clean-up of
vehicle # 1821. The results are included in the 12/09/2008 MDEP Highlights. The
Chinese mechanic, based on the MDEP report recommendations, advanced the engine
timing and adjusted the engine air fuel control, all done under Mirenco’s
supervision. The engine was then retested and the combustion improvement was ‘a
real eye opener’.
Dan Bina and Walker Dubberke were the lead technicians for this demonstration
project. Walker, with the help of Dan, used his skills and experience to
implement the MDEP process during the engine combustion cleanup. Walker has the
experience of trouble shooting our evaluation equipment if necessary, reading
the combustion data, and making MDEP report recommendations. If he cannot do the
recommended work on the engine, Walker has the knowledge to supervise local
mechanics.
I am pleased that Mirenco has the diesel combustion health technology that can
help vehicle owners better manage fuel mileage and air quality problems. As our
work in China shows, Mirenco is prepared to give any place in the world quick
and efficient engine combustion aid by employing our vehicle database center in
Radcliffe, Iowa.
